The most wonderful time of the year

Twas a month before Christmas, when DIRTTbags filled with glee, were all getting ready, for Adopt-a-Family…

A tradition that has lived on for the past several years, DIRTT partnered with the Salvation Army and adopted 11 families (36 family members) to ensure that they had presents and everyday necessities to wake up to Christmas morning.

Each department around DIRTT put on their own fundraising events to raise money for families in need during the holiday season. All the way from bake sales to dog races, kitten cuddles and laser-cut Christmas ornaments, DIRTTbags and ICEcubes raised $40,150. Once the money has been raised, the shopping part ensues! Volunteers are sent off to fulfill wish lists and gifts are wrapped with care.

In addition to the fundraising initiatives, DIRTT matched every penny to support our community. The funds were shared among AARCS, Inn from the Cold and The Calgary Food Bank.
