Harnessing kindness, creativity and technology to continue building better
At DIRTT, we talk a lot about safety and our strength as a family. In these trying times, we are fiercely protecting both. Both our physical strength as healthy individuals and our mental resiliency are critical as we work our way through the unknown and settle into our new normal. Our culture is rooted in a powerful respect for every individual and in our collective identity. Even during crisis, this does not change. We are a family and families take care of each other. So, that’s what we are doing.
Staying informed and acting accordingly
We are working in accordance with recommendations from the World Health Organization, The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Public Health Agency of Canada. We are following and exceeding global, national and local health guidelines. And we are taking swift action to limit the risk of contraction in order to protect each other, our families and our communities from COVID-19.
Specifically, we have stopped all air travel and limited technicians to regional auto travel to support ongoing installations. Our office, sales and non-production factory teams are almost exclusively working remotely. At all our sites, we have increased access controls, deployed rigorous hygiene and sanitization measures, and instituted self-identification, separation and social distancing protocols.
We continue to engage with our partners as well as directly with state, provincial and local governments to monitor restrictions that could impact our operations. We are in constant communication with our supply chain and freight partners to ensure we provide predictability to our partners and end users.
Harnessing technology to create a virtual reality working space
Every day, we use our ICE technology to foster a virtual ideation and creation experience for our partners and clients. These days, that innovation and technological expertise is facilitating remote working for our office employees. Our people are logged in, online and advancing projects so that when the world opens its doors again, we are ready. We’ll be prepared to step through those doors; arm-in-arm with our partners, clients and the communities we serve.
Creating healthy spaces
Creating healthy spaces for patients, front-line care workers, families and communities is one of our specialties. From isolation rooms to urgent-care facilities, DIRTT supports all healthcare space needs. We can have these spaces up and functional in days and with minimum disruption. We are offering rapid prefab services to cities, provinces, states and private organizations to accommodate the increased needs for medical facilities.
We are building. Because that's what we do.
Our factories remain fully operational. Projects continue to be built, delivered and installed. Partners and clients remain eager to advance future projects. Our sales team is selling. Our factories are building. And we are shipping product to partners as quickly as we can. We are pressing forward with the launch of our two newest solutions (Reflect™ and Inspire™) as well as more than 20 enhancements to our core product offering.
The way we work together is going to look different for a while and that’s OK. Because at DIRTT, we build and work differently. It’s who we are, who we’ve always been and who we will continue to be. We are prepared, we are experienced and we are creative problem solvers. Above all else, we are in this together and will get through this together.
