Known for providing care to low-income and uninsured patients, this health system built out a clinic with 36 new exam rooms and pharmacy. With plans to expand their service, they knew that our modular prefab construction would give them the power to adapt in the future. What they didn’t know was all the other benefits that come with DIRTT.

In previous locations, Mosaic had challenges optimizing acoustics for speech privacy. DIRTT’s Solid Wall assembly has a minimum sound transmission coefficient (STC) of 38. By adding an extra layer of insulation and some perimeter enhancements, the walls easily delivered the acoustics they were looking for. Finished with medium-density fiberboard (MDF) panels, those walls gave Mosaic the look they wanted while Thermofoil laminate and ChromacoatPlus paint offered increased durability.

Those removeable wall panels are part of what makes the DIRTT system adaptable. They also make maintenance easy. When Mosaic was looking to the future, they planned to add solid blocking behind every wall to ensure they could mount whatever equipment needed. With DIRTT, it’s easy to remove a single panel and add blocking as needed, whether it’s next week or next year. Taking that blocking out of the scope took $15,000 out of the budget before they even moved in. With a DIRTT install that took four weeks and a punch list that only took four hours, the resulting health center gave Mosaic exactly what they were looking for.
