The plan was to build 16 new patient headwalls with a preconstruction schedule of just four weeks. It was an aggressive timeline given all the infection prevention requirements and emergency power needs to be code compliant. Using BIM coordination and specialized engineering services from DIRTT, this healthcare system cut preconstruction in half. During construction the headwalls were installed in just five days. It’s something that would be impossible with a conventional approach. From the first phone call to the end of install was only seven weeks. Instead of focusing on punch lists they were open sooner and focusing on patients.
