There’s just something special about southern yellow pine. When Pilot Inc. was retrofitting their office, they wanted a way to elevate the warmth of their existing ceiling by bringing it further into the space. It had to be cohesive and continuous. And that’s when they looked into DIRTT Timber.

After visiting our local DIRTT Experience Center, they were inspired to create a meeting area using timber, glass, and integrated technology. As a branding agency, Pilot has an unparalleled attention to detail and that meant every element had to be perfect. From matching the new timber stain to the existing wood to building a bar top made from a repurposed bowling alley that looks like it’s going right through the glass, they left nothing to chance. With a creative general contractor on board who understood how to bring it all together, the space looked exactly as the team at Pilot imagined. Now, when people visit, they’re floored by the timber structure. They can’t believe it wasn’t part of the space to begin with. Seamless integration brings the design life.
