The Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Clinic at Roseman University of Health Sciences serves patients while giving resident dentists practical training. Blending the worlds of healthcare and education, Roseman needed an adaptable space to manage change as technology and pedagogy evolved. To do this, they built the AEGD using DIRTT’s multi-trade prefabricated system.

Combining modular assemblies with removable panels and a quick-connect electrical system gave Roseman the ability to make rapid changes. When they incorporated new equipment, easy access to the wall cavity eliminated drywall dust. Electrical drops were adjusted to accommodate new technology and the wall panel mounted back into place completing upgrades in a matter of hours rather than days.

Using DIRTT’s BIM software ICE^® also saved them time. During preconstruction, a comprehensive digital twin improved collaboration between the other trades, increasing schedule efficiency. The team at the AEGD could see how casework, branding, and artwork would integrate into the space before construction even started. They built with confidence knowing that their designs would be executed precisely. The result was a space that won the Nevada Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors association excellence in construction award in the category of renovation, less than $4M.
