When a software company that prides itself in changing the way the world is designed and made creates a new regional office, you expect the results to be jaw-dropping. Autodesk’s home in Atlanta does not disappoint. Working with the team at Corgan, they created a space that not only spoke to their groundbreaking software, but the city this office calls home. Part of achieving that involved integrating DIRTT into the space.

Taking inspiration from vivid colors and overlayed imagery of BIM software, the office is vibrancy on display. Deconstructing a 4” DIRTT Solid Wall, Autodesk used partial panels and custom colors to create breakout spaces that bring the concept of architectural drawings to life in a physical form.

At the same time, the office seamlessly blends digital inspiration with elements of biophilic design. Compared to other cities, Atlanta has the largest urban tree canopy in the US, and it’s mirrored in the timber elements throughout the space. In the post-and-beam work nodding to Ponce Street Market and the rich, crosshatched wood vectors defining huddle spaces, the outside world is reflected in. Whether it’s a room that references Atlanta’s tiny home community or timber seating with a spectacular view of the city skyline, the office creates an undeniable sense of place.
