How do you cut the schedule on a massive healthcare construction project by 30%? That was the question posed by a health system to a group of stakeholders when they began work on a new medical office building. To do that, the health system worked with a handful of like-minded partners to develop an easily replicated construction program. Relying on a standardized building plan and pre-manufactured construction, they set out to complete a typical 36-month build in 30 months or less.

With modular floor plans, a kit of parts, and prefabricated interiors and exteriors, the team was able to shift from a stick-built construction model to one where components were easily assembled on-site.
