As the veteran population in the United States continues to age, it’s getting harder for them to access key services. For many, making a big trip to the city isn’t an option. They need something close. That’s why the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) created community-based outpatient clinics like this one. Being close ensures people get what they need.
When it takes two years to plan a renovation like this, how can you make sure you have the latest medical tech on opening day? This clinic couldn’t decide which devices to use until just a few months before the ribbon cutting. That was one of the reasons the VA used DIRTT. Modularity gave them flexibility. When technology evolves, like it always does, making last-minute changes to an office or patient area doesn’t require a tear down. Replace a few wall panels and you can stay current without adding time to the schedule.
