Jungbunzlauer produces biodegradable ingredients that contribute to healthier, safer, and tastier products. If you’ve ever enjoyed yogurt or used hand lotion, chances are you’ve experienced the benefits from their test kitchen. After five years at their Chicago-based Application Technology Center, Jungbunzlauer outgrew their original space and needed to relocate. They had built part of their original space with DIRTT, and the sleek, durable wall panels were their favorite part of the old office. When it came time to move, they decided to build as much of the new application technology center as possible with DIRTT. And they even took as much of the existing DIRTT casework as possible to be reused in their new space.

The choice was driven mainly by aesthetics. DIRTT allowed them to wow guests who visited their state-of-the-art test kitchen. But during construction, Jungbunzlauer learned how DIRTT can reduce construction schedules too. When site delays pushed out the start date of the project, the clock was ticking on Jungbunzlauer’s existing lease. Once they got approvals, speed was crucial. While contractors prepped the building, DIRTT was custom manufacturing elements of their space in our factory. In less than a month, the modular wall assemblies were on-site. Just three weeks later they were installed. From project approval to occupancy, the entire process took just two months, allowing Jungbunzlauer to return to their test kitchen and continue their mission of making the world a safer, healthier, and tastier place.
