Sleek office space in a heritage building
What was once a Merita bakery building is now home to a revamped space in Birmingham. The 1930s building celebrates the industrial and artistic heritage of the city. Maintaining the integrity of the 80-year-old structure was a priority for the renovation. Angled sawtooth windows and ceilings remain intact. The original Merita sign moved indoors. Outlines of tools painted on the walls of the factory endure. But the interior offices have leaped into the 21st century with DIRTT. Corporate Realty and Economic Development Partnership of Alabama teams work in a high-performing space while enjoying the character of the building.
